Glenbervie School’s thoughtful gesture recognises outstanding cleaning duo

Glenbervie School in Whangārei describe John and Miriama Salele as “part of the team”. To show their appreciation for their hard work, the school’s management team organised a heartfelt gesture for the franchise owners.

Students created thoughtful thank you cards, and staff assembled two large hampers to acknowledge and thank John and Miriama.

“There have been things that aren’t in their job description but they’re always happy to do it for us,” says Office Administrator Wilma Michelsen.

“There are never any problems and it’s great for our children.”

North Harbour

Whangaparāoa College honours Daniel for his decade of dedication

North Harbour franchise owner Daniel Park received an Excellence in Service award for his ten years of dedication to Whangaparāoa College, the region’s largest customer.

Principal Steve McCracken and Property Manager Ginny Catterall praise his professionalism, noting his commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment for the 1,800 students.

“Daniel is an incredibly hard-working person. He has an incredibly strong work ethic,” says Steve.

“It’s people like Daniel that help make our school function.”

Auckland West

Familiar faces and clean spaces – CrestClean’s 15-year relationship with Birdwood School

CrestClean’s relationship with Birdwood school spans 15 years, and the relationship continues to thrive today.

Deputy Principal Kevin Miekle says it’s CrestClean’s commitment to excellence that has led to such a long partnership.

“CrestClean have always done a great job, that’s why our relationship has lasted such a long time,” he says.

Tauranga

Kit’s thoughtful bin upgrade keeps Mount Maunganui College tidy

Tauranga franchisee Kit Sison has cared for Mount Maunganui College for nearly four years, building a great relationship with the school. Wanting to give back, he noticed their bin system was inefficient. After discussing it with Tauranga Regional Master Franchisee Jan Lichtwark, they decided to donate 200 matching bins.

For Property Manager Jules Clayton and the team at Mount Maunganui College, Kit’s efforts don’t go unnoticed.

“One of the great things about CrestClean is that we have a good team here. Kit is revered throughout the school,” says Jules.

“He’s Mr Helpful.”

Waikato

CrestClean and Matangi School’s loyal partnership shines on after 20 years

To mark 20 years with Matangi School, Waikato Regional Master Franchisee Nivitesh Kumar and Administration Assistant Karena Townsend surprised staff with a special morning tea. Principal Bernard Butler appreciated the gesture, praising CrestClean’s commitment to excellence since 2004. The school’s cleaning is managed by Jagdeep Saini, whose dedication and hard work ensures that nothing is ever too much trouble.

“The whole school is really happy with the quality of the cleaning that happens every day,” he says.

“They’re very thorough.”

Hawke’s Bay

Junior students make big impact on cleanliness at Te Awa School

Room 3 at Te Awa School won a pizza lunch for being the cleanest classroom. Hawke’s Bay franchisees Ankush and Mandeep were impressed by their commitment to keeping their space tidy, making them the clear winners of the Cleanest Classroom Award.

Ankush says the most rewarding part of the Cleanest Classroom Awards is seeing the joy and sense of accomplishment among the children.

“I was so happy for the whole day after seeing the kids happy and smiling.”

Inspired by its impact, Principal Greta Van Zyl introduced a weekly award, with Ankush and Mandeep selecting the cleanest class for a certificate at assembly.

Wellington

School celebrates CrestClean franchisee on ‘Support Staff Day’

“To sum her up in one word — outstanding!”

That’s what Bellevue School’s acting principal Annette Borgonje had to say about CrestClean franchisee Viyada Corbett.

Annette says she “can’t fault her on a thing”.

“She relates to the teachers well, she’s very polite and fantastic to work with. She comes in, does the job and is kind and gentle to everybody.”

With 30 classrooms and room for further expansion, Knights Stream School is a sizable space to maintain. Principal Mike Molloy considers Glenn and Gem to be the ideal team to handle the school’s ever-changing landscape.

“To be honest, I need to thank them more often. They really are part of our team,” he says.

Unwavering support helps Fazeel unlock his potential

Fazeel Ali manages the cleaning at Rolleston College, one of New Zealand’s largest schools. He works closely with Wayne Carling, the Facility Co-ordinator for Programmed Facilities Maintenance, who oversees daily maintenance at the school and considers Fazeel an essential part of the team.

“I acknowledge the hard work he does for me, and I know I can rely on him. He makes things really easy for me,” says Wayne.
