Health and Safety Reform Bill? Audits? Contractor PreQual?
We’re ready
We have a positive Health and Safety culture that is consistent throughout every level of our business.
CrestClean understands our Health and Safety obligations. We have developed SafeClean®, a full Health, Safety and Environmental Management System that enables us to work safely, protecting our personnel, our customers and the public.
The Health and Safety at Work Act came into effect on April 4 2016. The new law will be called the Health and Safety at Work Act. It’s the most significant reform of New Zealand’s workplace Health and Safety laws in 20 years.
This new legislation affects the way all New Zealand businesses operate with regard to workplace health, safety and environment.
These new rules make an organisation responsible for the safety of all people entering their premises, including their own staff, their customers, and regular contractors like CrestClean.
CrestClean has developed SafeClean®, a Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSEMS) designed to minimise the risks of our work at your premises.
SafeClean® is designed to comply with ASNZ: 4801, ISO: 14001, Contractor Pre-qualification and ACC Workplace Safety Management Practices. SafeClean® meets ‘best practice’ requirements for Safe Working Procedures, workforce participation, corporate responsibility and governance.
We supply a Health, Safety and Environmental Management System Booklet, that outlines our policies and contains:
All Health and Safety materials are contained within a Site Reference Folder and updated annually.
SafeClean® is hosted on a customised platform of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, which provides an up-to-the-minute database of our Health and Safety system.
SafeClean® ensures a site-specific Health, Safety and Environmental Management Plan is provided as a point of reference for our customers, and to help reduce workplace harm and environmental impact. All personnel are properly inducted on to your site, and they receive specific Health and Safety training and upskilling as part of SafeClean®.
CrestClean maintains Contractor Pre-qualification status with Impac Prequal, an independent prequalifier of the Health, Safety and Environmental practices of contractors.

CrestClean personnel hold Site Safe passports where required by our customers.
