Training and Qualifications

Training is the single biggest factor in making a good cleaner, and most New Zealand cleaners get no formal training…

CrestClean is the largest private trainer of cleaning personnel in New Zealand. Each year we host more than 200 training events for our personnel nationwide. We’ve invested in comprehensive training for all personnel which covers cleaning skills and processes, Health and Safety, and hygienic practices. Personnel are upskilled annually and regular auditing is carried out by CrestClean’s Quality Assurance Co-ordinators.

Well-trained cleaners clean better!

No other cleaning company matches our commitment to ongoing training and upskilling. All our personnel undertake formal training programmes including practical cleaning training, proficiency assessments and annual upskilling throughout their CrestClean careers.

Master Cleaners Training Institute

L-master-cleaners-logoThe Master Cleaners Training Institute is a respected training organisation that has delivered internationally recognised programmes including courses accredited by the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc). More than 500 CrestClean cleaners have gained the BICSc Professional Skills Suite Certificate. Certificate in Commercial Cleaning

Master Cleaners Training Institute has introduced the Certificate in Commercial Cleaning (CCC), specifically designed to meet the NZ cleaning industry needs. A ‘Licence to Clean’, course covers practical cleaning techniques, hygiene and industry specific Health and Safety and Environmental procedures.

Annual Upskilling and Ongoing Assessment

All personnel receive annual upskilling to remain up-to-date with product innovations and the latest advances in our industry. The performance of our personnel is continually assessed by our Regional Master Franchisees and cleaning equipment and chemicals are audited twice yearly to ensure safety and consistent standards of quality.

Health and Safety Training

Health and Safety training is provided through formal training and skills development modules. Site-specific Health and Safety inductions are undertaken on our customers’ premises. All personnel complete an annual online Health and Safety update.

Fully Trained in Specialist Skills

Hard Floor Care, Carpet Cleaning and Pure Water Window Cleaning are all specialist skills undertaken by fully trained CrestClean personnel. Understanding the safe use of equipment and the nuances of performing these services is essential and our practical training sets the standard for the commercial cleaning industry.

Contractor Pre-qualification

Our workforce is trained to operate under SafeClean®, our Health, Safety and Environmental Management System that meets Contractor Prequalification. All personnel are inducted onto sites and hold Site Safe Passports where required. See
