Cheers to a decade of partnership with Garin College
Garin College school staff took a break from routine to enjoy a morning tea shout, arranged by Nelson Regional Master Franchisee, Barbara de Vries. The club sandwiches, carrot cake and blondie slice were an expression of gratitude for their 10 solid years of support.
Although Barbara couldn’t be there to share in the occasion, Violet, Nelson Operations Manager (and Barbara’s sister) stepped up to represent CrestClean Nelson.
Amidst the click of cameras, the franchisees presented Garin College Principal, John Maguire, and Business Manager, Cassie Fitzimmons with their Certificate of Long Service. John then took a moment to thank franchisees Hauati and Seini Cocker and Karl Parker for the work they do on a daily basis.
“We appreciate our cleaning teams,” he says.
While Karl has been with Garin College for five years, Hauati and Seini only joined the team earlier this year.
John joked, “It’s great we’ve had Karl here for five years so far, so that means you too, Seini and Hauati, will be here in five years, right?”
Hauati, Seini and Karl were then invited to join John and Cassie in the rapidly filling staffroom where John gave a speech to thank the franchisees in front of the school staff. As John spoke of his appreciation, Garin College staff echoed his words, filling the room with a few shouts of “ngā mihi” and “thanks guys” and applauding the franchisees for their service to the school. It was all smiles in the Garin College staffroom.
John emphasised the invaluable role the franchisees play in the daily life of the school.
“Our cleaning support teams probably know how our students are feeling from day to day as much or more than we do,” he says.
“It’s great to have cleaners who align with our values, care about and take care of our school”.
