Goodwood School cheers for Krishn and Sangeeta’s 10-Year Long Service
Krishn and Sangeeta Adhar ticked off another significant milestone last October when they received their 10-Year Long Service Award. There to present Krishn with the award was long-standing customer and Principal of Goodwood School, David Graham.
David considers Krishn a valued member of the Goodwood School team. After almost seven years cleaning for the school, it seemed only fitting for staff and students to celebrate with Krishn and thank him for his ongoing commitment.
“Krishn does an excellent job. He is really flexible in working around school events. His end of term cleans are especially thorough, meaning the students and team return to a sparkling environment,” says David.
“He is highly respected by our students, community, teaching and support teams.”
Krishn is a familiar face for the students at Goodwood School. His friendliness and enthusiasm have seen him develop strong friendships with both staff and students and they love to celebrate key events with Krishn and Sangeeta.
“Diwali is also a special time. Krishn and his wife, Sangeeta, provide our staff with Diwali treats and our students enjoy giving Krishn cards and messages. Our school also celebrates Krishn during Support Staff Week each year,” says David.
“Most of Krishn’s work happens after school hours but our students in after school care get to see him and greet him most days.”
Goodwood School staff appreciate Krishn’s willingness to go the extra mile. They believe it’s important for students to understand and appreciate Krishn’s contribution to the school and regularly emphasise why he is such a valued member of their community.
“We speak regularly with our students about the importance of the work Krishn does to look after us and ways we can help him,” says David.
Covid was a particularly challenging time for the school, but Krishn lightened their load by cleaning to a consistently high standard. For Krishn, this was all in a day’s work. For Goodwood School, it was one less thing to worry about.
“During Covid restrictions Krishn played a key role in helping us to ensure the highest standards of health and hygiene were maintained,” says David.
“Krishn is a valued member of our team. Our students, team and community appreciate all that he does.”
