Customer relationships key to success
A strong relationship with customers has been one of Rakesh Bhan’s keys to running a successful business.
“It takes time to build relationships with customers. I always communicate with them. That is one of the keys to running a successful business.”
The longest-serving Tauranga franchisee, who looks after 19 contracts, will celebrate 10 years in November.
“A lot of my customers I have had for eight to nine years,” he says. “I’ve got a strong relationship and bond with my customers and that has kept me going. I’ve never lost a customer because of my cleaning and I’m proud of that.”
Rakesh cleans customers’ premises in the morning and late afternoon/early evening.
“It is a good work/life balance being able to clean premises in the morning and late afternoon/early evening,” he says. “My customers enjoy seeing me and I always feel like I am part of their team.”
Tauranga Regional Manager Jan Lichtwark says Rakesh is a wonderful franchisee who is passionate about his business.
“He’s very good at dealing with his customers. He talks to them daily and listens to their needs,” he says. “I always get great feedback from his customers.”
