Training in Nelson Just Got Even Better
A large part of CrestClean’s success in the competitive industry of commercial cleaning, is their commitment to training.
As part of their CrestClean entry requirements, franchisees are required to complete a two day training course to gain their “license to clean,” and Regional Trainer, Danish (Dan) Sharma is here to ensure they do.
Dan has been with CrestClean for four years and when Master Cleaners Training Institute CEO, Adam Hodge presented him with the opportunity to become a Regional Trainer he was more than happy to take it.
He says, “It’s a great job. It’s not without it’s challenges of course – language barriers can cause some difficulties at times, but I am fluent in Hindi so that helps a lot. If people are really struggling to understand, I can also go through a demonstration and show them how something works rather than just telling them.
It’s so gratifying to be able to help people achieve something. I often catch up with franchisees that I’ve trained and it’s great to see how successful their businesses have become.”
Dan’s a busy man these days – he trains new franchisees in Wellington, Palmerston North, Hawkes Bay and now Nelson.
His first two day training course in Nelson went off without a hitch and included both theoretical and practical aspects of commercial cleaning.
Five eager trainees gathered to soak up his extensive knowledge and expertise on everything from equipment handling to general safety requirements.
“The training course was enjoyable and went well,” he says, “It was great to have such an intimate group because we were able to get to know each other better- they are a great bunch.”
Among them was Julie Ashton, one of CrestClean’s newest franchisees, who said, “Dan was very good at explaining and demonstrating things. I learned a lot from the experience.”
For Regional Manager, Barbara de Vries the training courses are especially important for new franchisees to ensure a level of consistency within the company.
