Dunedin franchise team makes positive impact at George Street Normal School
Dunedin CrestClean franchise owners, George and Michelle Montalban, have received glowing reviews from staff at George Street Normal School since taking over the cleaning contract just one term ago.
The school’s deputy principal, Leanne Stanton, has praised George and Michelle for their exceptional cleaning standards.
“We’re very happy with them. We have no complaints and it’s great to be able to say that,” says Leanne.
George Street Normal School is separated into two sections on opposite sides of the road, with the junior school on one side and the senior school on the other. With 450 students, it’s a large space to maintain. Despite the challenge, Leanne says George and Michelle do an exceptional job keeping the school clean.
“They have a lot to get through, but they keep it looking good.”
The couple only purchased their franchise two years ago, but in that time, they have shown a strong commitment to their customers that extends beyond cleaning duties. Their seamless communication, extremely high standards and willingness to go the extra mile are what sets them apart from the school’s previous cleaning provider. Leanne was particularly impressed with the team’s recent term clean, which left the school looking spotless and ready for term three.
“Their standard of cleanliness is very high, and they are very proactive with any issues that arise from time to time,” says Leanne.
Leanne and the wider school staff appreciate the effort George and Michelle make with the Cleanest Classroom programme.
“It encourages the children to keep the place cleaner than they might have, which is exciting, and it’s lovely for the children to have that connection with what happens after school,” says Leanne.
“We have appreciated their focus on kaitiakitanga and building the children’s responsibility in this regard.”
They have gone above and beyond to make this a friendly competition, with children actively keeping their classrooms clean to be the winner of the Cleanest Classroom trophy and end-of-term pizza party.
“They’re very generous and we’re very grateful.”
