CrestClean has a formal training programme that ensures all our personnel are competent in best practice techniques and the most innovative cleaning and hygiene processes in order to provide professional customer service.
All CrestClean personnel attend mandatory practical skills training provided by the Master Cleaners Training Institute, which is a corporate member of British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc).
Master Cleaners Training Institute delivers internationally recognised programmes that utilise hands-on practical training in cleaning operations. They support the development of a wide range of cleaning skills and prepare people for a career in the cleaning industry.
More than 500 CrestClean cleaners have gained the BICSc Professional Skills Suite Certificate. This course was validated by an NZQA accredited Industry Training Organisation that moderated our course content.
In 2016 Master Cleaners introduced the ‘Certificate in Commercial Cleaning’ (CCC), designed to meet New Zealand cleaning industry needs. The ‘Licence to Clean’ course covers practical cleaning techniques, hygiene and industry-specific health, safety and environmental procedures.
The Certificate in Commercial Cleaning has three mandatory units, and a minimum number of 6 Core Tasks that provide an induction to commercial cleaning, and cover hands-on practical skills, all the relevant health and safety training and environmental compliances. The course concludes with a formal assessment resulting in a Certificate of Completion.
Each year more than 200 unique training events are hosted around the country. Local trainers provide the inductions for new franchisees, and the formal courses are scheduled throughout the year. Annual upskilling courses and workshops ensure that all personnel are kept up to date with the latest industry innovations and ‘best practice’ techniques.
“Training teaches smart, timesaving, efficient ways of completing tasks and helps people achieve pride in the quality of service they’re providing because they know they’re doing their jobs to the highest standard,” Liezl Foxcroft, General Manager Training of Master Cleaners Training Institute. “That’s part of running a CrestClean franchise. We believe the path to a successful career is paved with skills to be learnt along the way.”
“For a company like CrestClean, having trained personnel is a point of difference and, on many occasions, it’s the deciding factor for customers.
