David and Mi Kyung Lee’s journey to work-life balance
David and Mi Kyung Lee are celebrating a decade of success as CrestClean franchise owners. This milestone has given them the perfect mix of work and play, allowing them to enjoy a fulfilling work-life balance.
Since they bought their franchise in 2015, they’ve loved the flexibility CrestClean offers, especially the freedom to hit the golf course and explore the great outdoors, all while running a successful business.
The Lee family moved to New Zealand from Korea 24 years ago and David tried his hand at taxi driving and dairy owning. But it wasn’t until they found CrestClean that they discovered the stability and freedom they had been seeking.
“I love the work-life balance that CrestClean gives us,” says David.
“It’s a good company for franchisees. The policies are very stable, and I like that.”
For 10 years David and Mi have enjoyed a lifestyle that balances hard work with the things they love. The best part is the freedom to do what they like during the day. As avid golfers and hikers, they’re all about seizing every chance for a round on the green or an adventure in the mountains. This opportunity to unwind outdoors is one of the many perks they’ve found through their journey as franchise owners.
“Playing golf takes about four and a half hours, and we have plenty of time for it,” he says.
“Once or twice a week we also go tramping for five to six hours.”
David’s goal has always been to build a stable life, and he feels that CrestClean has helped him achieve that. Over the years, the couple has built strong relationships with their customers, some who have been with them for the entire decade. Their long-term customer base shows just how exceptional their service is.
David is also deeply grateful for the support they’ve received from their Regional Master Franchisee, Yasa Panagoda.
“Yasa is a very good guy. He always looks after me, and I would like to thank him,” he says.
Yasa returns the sentiment, describing David and Mi as assets to CrestClean.
“They’re a kind, hard-working team that we appreciate very much.”
