Aspire2 course empowers Riteshni and Nitesh to strengthen their business

Riteshni Chand and Nitesh Shanker have been proud CrestClean franchise owners for five years and have grown their business to a large-scale operation. Always looking for ways to strengthen their business, the couple jumped at the opportunity to take the Aspire2 Workplace Communications Programme.

Riteshni says the course has given them valuable and practical skills that they can apply to their business.

“We learned all about how to run a successful business, achieve SMART goals, and improve communication. There was a lot to learn.”

CrestClean provides this course to franchisees who run a large business and want to improve communication skills, both with employees and customers.

“When CrestClean approached us, I thought, ‘Why not?’ It’s all good experience for us,” she says.

“We’re happy to do anything that will help our business.”

The knowledge that Riteshni and Nitesh have gained from the three-month course has already had a significant impact on their business. With two employees on their team, they have found that improving communication has been key to maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow.

One of the key takeaways from the course was finding better ways to stay connected as a team and communicate throughout the day.

“We’ve found it easier to communicate through a messaging group. It helps us all understand things better, especially as English is our second language,” says Riteshni.

The messaging group has been especially helpful for co-ordinating their work at a local school, where Riteshni keeps track of after-school events by monitoring the school’s Facebook page. She takes screenshots of important updates and shares them with her team to ensure they can adjust their schedules accordingly.

The Aspire2 course taught a wide range of essential communication skills, from writing professional emails to providing constructive feedback to employees.

“Our tutor taught us different ways to interact with customers and how to look after our staff,” says Riteshni.

With her growing expertise, Riteshni is now preparing for an exciting new role as a CrestClean Induction Trainer. She will spend three weeks with new franchisees, helping them get off to a strong start. Thanks to her reliable team, Riteshni is able to take on her new induction duties while running her business.

Riteshni and Nitesh are grateful for the opportunity to grow and develop their skills through this course. They’re excited to keep learning and will be looking for more training opportunities in the future.
