Industry experts share top tips with newbies
CrestClean newbies attending a key training course had two of the best operators in the business to learn from.
The Master Cleaners Training Institute Module 1 programme was delivered by Jason Cheng assisted by Pinakin Patel.
Jason has his own Crest cleaning business but he’s also one of the company’s Quality Assurance Co-ordinators. He’s part of a nationwide team responsible for ensuring quality cleaning is maintained at customers’ sites.
Experienced franchisee Pinakin is a hard floor care expert and is soon to become a qualified CrestClean Regional Trainer.
Nivitesh Kumar, CrestClean’s Waikato Regional Manager, says the training event at Fraser Tech Rugby Club, Hamilton, proved popular. “We had some very experienced and incredibly knowledgeable people delivering the programme.
“Pinakin was an inspiration to those on the course and everyone learned something new.”
Training is a key component of being a successful CrestClean business owner, he says. “It gives us confidence in our teams to know they’ve been highly trained and they will deliver a professional service to customers.
“No other cleaning company in New Zealand trains people as we do. CrestClean is by far the largest trainer of cleaning personnel in New Zealand.”
Adam Hodge, CEO of the Master Cleaners Training Institute, says Jason’s experience was invaluable to CrestClean’s new business owners.
“Jason’s been out there at the coalface of cleaning. He’s aware what’s required from a customer point of view and from a quality auditor point of view. He brings to the Regional Trainer role a wealth of experience and an understanding of the job.”
The Module 1 training course covers health and safety, chemical preparation, safe use and safe storage of equipment. Practical task training include mopping, vacuuming, window and wall washing, damp wiping and polishing.
