From apartment living to rural dream – Navjoth and Ramandeep find their piece of paradise
Navjoth and Ramandeep recently moved to a sprawling half-acre property in rural Hawera. They now wake up to unobstructed views of Mount Taranaki every morning.
“It’s so beautiful”, says Navjoth. “We really love it, and the kids love it.”
Just a few months ago, Navjoth, Ramandeep and their two children, aged five and two, rented a small two-bedroom apartment in town. Now, they own a large four-bedroom home in the countryside and they’re embracing the freedom of country living.
“There’s room for veggie gardens, or we could put in a swimming pool. My daughter really likes horses, so when she grows up a bit, maybe we’ll get a pony! We still haven’t decided what to do with all this land,” laughs Navjoth.
The couple are new to CrestClean, becoming franchise owners only two months ago. Navjoth says owning a franchise has given them the boost they needed to purchase a large section and build their dream home.
Navjoth first learned about CrestClean from a friend and fellow franchisee in Hawke’s Bay. After discussing the finer details of franchise ownership, Navjoth shared the idea with Ramandeep, who was on a break from work to care for their young children. Ramandeep was seeking a new opportunity, and CrestClean perfectly aligned with her goals.
With Navjoth busy managing his trucking business during the day, Ramandeep capably leads their CrestClean franchise. They tackle cleaning tasks together in the evenings, allowing Ramandeep to care for their children during the day.
Owning their businesses grants Navjoth and Ramandeep the flexibility to create a work-life balance that revolves around their family’s needs.
“We both have a business of our own now. We work hard to give the best to our customers,” says Navjoth.
“We love our freedom. We can start whenever we like as long as we finish the work.”
