CrestClean’s Northland meeting rucks up excitement with rugby legend John Leslie
CrestClean’s Northland Regional Team Meeting was a real ‘try-umph’, after rugby great John Leslie made a surprise appearance.
The former Scotland and Highlanders centre, who was appointed Head Coach of Northland’s Semco Taniwha rugby team earlier this year, delivered a motivational speech at the meeting, after which he joined franchisees for a shared meal and presented them with signed rugby balls.
CrestClean is proud to have a long association with Leslie, having previously sponsored ‘LeslieRugby’, a nationwide community programme to boost junior rugby coaches.
He was invited to attend the meeting by CrestClean Managing Director Grant McLauchlan, who was also present, and who gave an informative presentation about company updates.
“It was a surprise for everyone, and they really enjoyed meeting John Leslie. It was something a bit different from previous meetings we’ve had,” says Northland Regional Master Franchisee Kent Wilkinson.
“His talk was really inspirational. He talked about honesty, communication, hard work and staying motivated. Everyone loved having him there and were keen to have their photo taken with him.”
Held at Forum North Entertainment Centre in Whangārei, the Regional Team Meeting was well attended, celebratory and had a positive atmosphere, says Kent.
A 7-Year Long Service Award was presented to Kelvin Walker, while Mohini Singh, who was unable to attend, was acknowledged for five years’ long service.
Two training certificates were also presented — John Salele, received a Hard Floor Care Certificate and Krishna Naidu achieved a Certificate in Commercial Cleaning Level 2.
“People got to meet franchisees they’d never met before. It was good to get together.”
