Health and Safety focus at NZ School Trustees Conference
A plethora of engagement opportunities was one of the main highlights at the New Zealand School Trustees Association Conference, North Shore/West Auckland Regional Manager Caroline Wedding says.
More than 900 people attended the conference held at the SkyCity Convention Centre in Auckland from July 3 to 5. Attendees included principals and board of trustee members.
“We talked a lot and gave out a lot of information,” she says. “There were a lot of our customers there and a lot of people from out of town, which was good. People were interested in our extensive range of services. Crest’s new Property Caretaking service was also a hot topic with conference attendees.”
As part of the conference CrestClean gave a Health and Safety document explaining Health and Safety responsibilities to attendees.
Crest’s Health and Safety programme is put together in conjunction with Swensen & Associates Ltd.
Swensen & Associates Ltd Health and Safety Consultant and Advisor Andrew Swensen says it is important to understand new requirements around the Health and Safety Reform Bill.
“It really is about protecting your business from prosecution and protecting your workers from harm,” he says.
Caroline attended the conference with North Harbour/Whangarei Regional Manager Neil Kumar.
“The conference went well. It was good to catch up with our customers and we gave away all of our goodies,” he says. “I really enjoy catching up with our customers. It is nice to hear that we are doing a good job with our cleaning services.”
